Outstanding design combined with excellent ergonomics, maximum robustness and optimized material use
Since its initial presentation just over a year ago, Bals INNOLINQ has set new standards for innovative industrial plugs and sockets. Its pioneering design combines high stability and improved ergonomics with optimised material use. The concept has also impressed industry experts: INNOLINQ is one of the winners of the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2021. More than 9,500 entries from 52 countries competed for one of the coveted awards, with the Bals innovation receiving an award in the Product Design category.
The international jury of the iF DESIGN AWARD was particularly impressed by the comprehensive approach taken in the development of Bals INNOLINQ. Among other aspects, the use of material in the contacts was optimised during the development process. The lead content is below 0.1% by mass and therefore below the REACH SVHC threshold. After appropriate separation, the plastic and metal components used can be fed into recycling processes.
The series of industrial plugs and sockets was developed from the ground up and offers high quality “Made in Germany”. Users also benefit from INNOLINQ’s ergonomic design and larger contact surfaces, which enable significantly lower insertion and withdrawal forces. The result is a high level of reliability and safety combined with user-friendly handling.
The iF DESIGN AWARD has been a globally recognised mark of outstanding design since 1954 and is regarded as one of the world’s most important design awards. It recognises outstanding design achievements in the disciplines of product, packaging, communication and service design, architecture and interior architecture, as well as professional concepts, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI). All award-winning entries are presented in the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE and published in the iF design app.
